1. Who you're dealing with
Settle is a macOS application built and maintained by Gokhan Gokova, an independent developer based in Türkiye. Contact: gokhan@gokhangokova.com.
Payments and license keys are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They handle billing, taxes (VAT, sales tax), invoices, and refunds on our behalf. By purchasing Settle you also agree to their Terms of Service.
2. The license you get
A Settle Pro purchase grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Settle on your personal Macs. The license never expires.
- One license activates Settle on 1 Mac at a time.
- You can deactivate it inside Settle and reactivate on a new Mac. Move freely.
- You receive future updates to the 1.x version line at no extra cost.
- Major version upgrades (2.0, 3.0) may be priced separately. We will not break your current version.
3. The 7-day free trial
Settle includes a 7-day full-feature trial. No credit card. No account. When the trial ends, layouts you saved still display but stop applying. Buy a license to keep going.
4. What you can do
- Use Settle for personal or commercial work on your own machines.
- Make backups of your local layouts and settings.
- Talk about Settle, screenshot it, recommend it.
5. What you can't do
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from Settle.
- Bypass the license or trial system, distribute cracked builds, or share your license key publicly.
- Resell, sublicense, or rent Settle to third parties.
- Use Settle in any way that violates Apple's macOS terms or applicable law.
6. Refunds
See our Refund Policy. Short version: 7 days free up front, then a 14-day no-questions-asked refund window after purchase.
7. The honest disclaimer
Settle is provided "as is". We test it carefully, but software has bugs. Use it on work that matters at your own discretion. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages such as lost productivity, lost work, or third-party app behavior.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Settle is limited to the amount you paid for the license. Some jurisdictions don't allow this kind of limit; in that case the most favourable consumer protection applies.
8. When the license can be revoked
We can revoke your license without refund if you breach these terms in a meaningful way (cracking the app, abusing support, fraud chargebacks). For honest mistakes we will reach out first.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a material way, we update this page and mention it in the next Settle release notes inside the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Any dispute we cannot solve over email goes to the courts of Istanbul. None of this overrides mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
